Academic Requirements:
• CA or other accounting/professional designation (CMA, CGA, CPA)
Experience Required:
• 3 plus years post qualification experience in the preparation of financial statements
• Strong working knowledge of Canadian GAAP
• Problem solving and proven oral and written communication skills
• Research and information gathering skills
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Experience with Great Plains would be considered an asset
• Experience in a transfer pricing environment would be considered an asset
• A strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and time management skills
Job Description:
• Prepare consolidated statements on a monthly basis for internal management reporting
• Prepare legal entity statements on a quarterly basis
• Prepare annual group consolidated financial statements and notes
• Assist Corporate Controller with coordination of annual audit and reviews
• Prepare and post push down entries to legal entity statements
• Prepare and administer the transfer pricing model
• Liaise with Legal department as required to assist in supporting legal entity structure changes
• Assist Corporate Controller with various project based initiatives
• Research new GAAP pronouncements in order to analyze the impact to the company’s financial statements
• Assist Financial Analysts with intercompany settlements and reconciliations
• Maintain all related records and supporting material
• Assist in supporting CRA audits as required
• Respond to ad hoc queries
