Academic Requirements:
• Chartered Accountant designation
Experience Required:
• Strong accounting background with relevant technical experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with Senior Management
• Proven ability to work with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel software
• Excellent project management, analytical and problem-resolution and consensus building skills
• Must be able to think conceptually (“out-of-the-box”) and have a high degree of attention for detail
• Proactive and highly motivated individual who will take the initiative and who can work independently and in a team environment
• Should be able to develop good business relationships with internal partners and be able to work with minimal supervision in an unstructured and fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
The individual will be responsible for:
• Providing subject matter expert advise on IFRS / Canadian GAAP
• Leading the implementation process for certain components of IFRS
• The position will involve working closely with external advisors on determining the practical implications of IFRS to the Bank and arriving at executable implementation plans.
• It will involve working closely with business stakeholders, finance and technology on implementation and project management issues
